Lost and Found Urbanities
Urbanity is the capacity of cities to bring strangers together through shared spaces and everyday encounters. Today, this capacity is increasingly challenged as essential public spaces and functions are replaced by private ones. At the same time, metropolitan regions face profound environmental, social, economic, and technological transitions. The spatial reorganisation and adaptation of places and territories triggered by these changes are never neutral. They are political acts that shape who gains access to space, people, and resources, and under what conditions. Lost and Found Urbanities explores these transformations and the diverse urbanities that emerge from them.
